Londoner Luke Younger has been releasing music for a decade now, both as one half of drone duo Birds Of Delay and via his solo project Helm, using it to explore abstract sound.

It is arguably with "Impossible Symmerty", his 2012 release on PAN, that he has reached his greatest achievement so far, making use of processed instruments, noise and drones to create a dystopian soundtrack to abandoned, haunted spaces. The LP has garinished wide acclaim, evoking comparisons to the likes of Coil and SPK, with FACT describing it as “a work of urbane psychedelia that channels the occult without recourse to cliche”.
