Nico Muhly

A Graduate of the Juilliard School for composition, New York based Nico Muhly has gain a solid reputation in modern music circles with a variety of projects. Nico has collaborated closely with artists as diverse as Antony (from Antony and the Johnsons) and Philip Glass, with whom he has had a long-standing relationship working on numerous stage works and film scores. He also performed on Björk's album ‘Medúlla’ and helped arrange her score for Matthew Barney's “Drawing Restraint 9” film. He also arranged strings for the Bonnie 'Prince' Billy album “The Letting Go”. As well, Muhly has scored the soundtrack for various films, most notably the Academy Award winning “The Reader”, starring Kate Winslet. He has released two albums on Bedroom community, “Speaks Volumes” and “Mothertongue”, both critically acclaimed.
