A new project commissioned by Unsound and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, Digital Fanfare represents an exciting meeting point between East and West Europe, electronic and acoustic instruments. Kadebostan is Swiss-based producer with releases on Freude Am Tanzen and Fenou, and has performed at past Unsound events, as well as clubs such as Watergate. Rational Diet is an acoustic chamber ensemble based in Minsk, with members in the Belarus Presidential Orchestra. They perform a mix of improvised, experimental and noise music, and have released on the Italian AltrTock label as well as the Polish label Audiotong. The collaboration of Kadebostan and Rational Diet aims at being an Eastern European electronic big band, to get the audience dancing. Their Unsound performance is a world premier, and the work of the band is soon to be released by the Geneva label Mental Groove.
