Martyn

Dutch producer and DJ Martyn fits firmly into a group of talented producers working in the techno / dubstep crossover that includes the likes of 2562, Kode9, Scuba, Shed and Ben Klock. With a background in drum’n’bass, his first major dubstep release was 2007’s “Broken”. That same year he formed his own label, 3024, cementing his position as one of dubstep’s new voices, underlines by a slew of singles and remixes. His debut album “Great Lengths” was released this year, to great anticipation, and as Philip Sherburne wrote in Pitchfork it manages to be both diverse and remarkably coherent. Martyn’s DJ sets are also famously diverse, known to draw on dubstep, techno and deep house.
