Cherrystones is Gareth Goddard, a man who claims to be "able to turn the dullest event into an iconic happening." His DJ sets and compilations excavate film soundtracks, psych, progressive and kraut rock from forgotten obscurity. Working in a similar territory to the likes of Andy Votel and David Holmes, the resulting mixes create "the illusion of safety to leave behind one’s own personal tastes and... be guided by another’s" (Dusted). Cherrystones will not only DJ with Joel Martin at Unsound; he'll also perform as one half of Jikogu, an extravaganza of music and visuals designed to blow minds.
