Lillevan
Lillevan will be working with his long term collaborator Morton Subtonick providing a live visual accompaniment to his work "Silver Apples of the Moon", reprising his performance at Unsound Festival New York in April, 2011. For the last few years, the duo were also collaborating on a re-working of Subotnicks opera "Jacob's Room." This close relationship means we can expect a stunning rapport between these two visionary artists.
Lillevan has been involved in film, animation and music since early childhood, performing and releasing material for over 15 years. His work is often described as an exploration of the history of cinema, searching for new relationships between viewer and screen, between reality and the projected image.
As well as collaborating with Subotnick, Lillevan has worked with musicians such as Valdislav Delay, Fennesz, Deadbeat, the Zeitkratzer Ensemble, the Redux Orchestra and others. He also co-founded the Audio-Visual Performance duo Rechenzentrum.
