Sex Worker

Sex Worker is a solo project of Daniel Martin-McCormick, also known as one half of Mi Ami, and the man behind Ital (also presented at Unsound).

Released on Not Not Fun, Sex Worker's sound is a unique and personal lo-fi combination of electronics, smeared vocals, noise and drum machines to create a kind of queasy pop. The works on his debut LP "The Labour of Love" were intended as strange protest anthems, against sex trafficking and enslaved bodies. His follow up, "Waving Goodbye," is also comprised of twisted outsider pop, much of it in the form of alternatively painful/playful ballads.

We're looking forward to see how all this manifests in the live context, as part of the Not Not Fun showcase.
