Jacaszek

Polish artist Jacaszek works in the wake of territory carved out by Eastern European compsers such as Gorecki and Arvo Part. Fusing electronics and string instruments, his work is both evocative and emotional in the best possible way. In terms of contemporary artists he shares musical connections with the likes of Max Richter and Norwegians Deaf Center, who released his album “Treny” in 2008 on their label Miasmah. This work was described by Boomkat in the following way: “…one of the most impressive, mystical and astonishing albums of the year.” Jacaszek has released many other album. With a strong following in Poland and elsewhere in Europe, it’s time Jacaszek received greater recognition in North America.
