Lillevan

Video artist and VJ Lillevan is perhaps best known as the visual side of the duo Rechenzentrum (1997-2008). Parallel to his work in Rechenzentrum, he has performed and collaborated with many artists from a wide array of genres, from opera to installation, from minimal electronic experimentalism to dance and classical music. Performances have taken him all over the globe, and he has performed at all the major media festivals. He has worked with Fennesz, Pole, Tarwater, Vladislav Delay/Luomo, as well as many others. For Unsound he will perform a work commissioned by Goethe-Institut New York, involving revisiting Warhol's Screen Tests. This made its debut at Unsound Krakow 2008.

Influenced by Warhol's intentions and updated through contemporary film making techniques, Lillevan creates a bank of "screen tests" of Unsound audience members, as well as subjects he finds in cafes, bars and diners in the city. This bank will constitute the raw material he will use as visuals on the club night in Bunker on 12.10.2010.
