MONOLAKE LIVE SURROUND ADDED TO THE UNSOUND LINE UP

Yet another headliner, another major Polish debut for Unsound.
Robert Henke will perform for the first time in this country as Monolake. Not only that, he'll be bringing his new innovative project, Live Surround, "a research and result" project.
Monolake Live Surround is about extending the possibilities of the dance floor beyond stereo, into a multi channel sound. According to Henke, this places "the listener / dancer in a deep, wide field of sound that is much bigger than the physical room defined by the speakers and the walls."
As a reference to what kind of music to expect, Henke has pointed to his latest Monolake release Atlas / Titan. These two excerpts give an idea:

Titan
The show will also involve the visuals of Tarik Barri, partly controlled by Barri as live improvisation, and partly the result of transforming music information into images.
Henke is also the co-developer of Ableton Live, software that is designed to be a tool for live instrument performance as well as for composing and arranging. A talk related to this subject will also be given by Henke during the course of Unsound 2009.
