
Maria Minerva
Maria Minerva is Maria Juur (b. 1988) from Tallinn, Estonia. In  Tallinn, Maria was freelancing as an art and music critic while studying  art
 history at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Together with her  partner-in-crime Maria Arusoo, she was also one half of the artist duo  mariaUNDmaria. It was during her 3rd year of university when she got  into music making and quickly became the local lo-fi princess.
 
 Maria's love affair with London began in 2009 when she was interning at  The Wire Magazine. In 2010 she moved to London permanently to do her  Masters at Goldsmiths College University London. In 2011, Minerva signed  to the acclaimed Los Angeles based label Not Not Fun and released her  debut cassette Tallinn At Dawn. Not Not Fun's dance-oriented  daughter-label 100% Silk also put out her 12" Noble
 Savage. On  August 1st, Not Not Fun released her LP, the highly anticipated Cabaret  Cixous followed in November by a second EP on 100% Silk entitled Sacred  and Profane Love. Maria has been featured in the Guardian, the NME,  Uncut, Vice Magazine, The Wire Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Vogue,  Pitchfork and countless other publications. 
 
 In summer 2012 she  will release The Integration album in collaboration with LA Vampires  and her sophomore album on Not Not Fun. Maria will also appear in a  special duo with Ital as part of the Unsound Labs program this year.
