Octave One
Detroit-based producers Lenny and Lawrence Burden have been recording as OCTAVE ONE since their late 80s debut alongside Carl Craig, Marc Kinchen and Jay Denham in 1990 on the infamous 10 Records compilation “Techno 2.” In 1990 they started their own imprint 430 West that continues to this day. Octave One has always been a family affair and the band has also often included Lynell, Lorne and Lance Burden. Lenny and Lawrence also record under the moniker Random Noise Generation. Their hits include “I Believe,” “Falling in Dub,” “Empower”, “Nicolette”, ‘The X-files”, “Meridian”, and ‘Siege.” Their biggest track “Blackwater” was an anthem in clubs for many years. They rarely appear in New York so their live show at Bunker should be a special treat. Octave One will be releasing a new retrospective album “Here, There, and Beyond,” soon on 430 West Records.
