Jonáš Gruska

Jonáš Gruska is a performer and sound artist based in Bratislava. His main focus is on chaotic rhythms and the exploration of psychoacoustic properties of sound and field recording. He has created several site-specific sound installations based on the resonant properties of spaces and materials, and also given workshops on sonification, field recording, printed circuit board design and programming for artists. He runs the LOM record label, organises ZVUK festival and plays in the Merak Jagad gamelan orchestra. As one of the Listening Stations artists, Jonáš will present nature and urban recordings from Czech Republic and Slovakia, including Veľké Borové, Smolenice, Trenčianska Závara, Maleč, Hranice and Bratislava.
