This Sunday Unsound Hosts A Discussion On The Current LGBTQ+ Movement in Poland, Hosted In Partnership With Resident Advisor

Including a range of voices from Poland's LGBTQ+ community, the discussion Zone-Free Zone: Poland's LGBTQ+ Community in the Arts and Activism will explore the ways a mixture of performative, artistic and club-rooted practices can help amplify the movement in Poland, approaching the subject in terms of history, imagination and practical application in the context of current protests. How can new forms of alliance be formed between artists, intellectuals and emerging queer activists? The discussion has been arranged at short notice – it takes place this Sunday – as the situation is urgent.

Conducted in English so those beyond Poland's borders can can get a grasp of the situation, participants include DJ Avtomat from Oramics, philosopher Ewa Majewska, activist/film director Bart Staszewski and artistic director of Berlin’s Tanztage Mateusz Szymanówka. Moderated by Manchester-based journalist and writer Kamila Rymajdo

The stream will be broadcast live via Unsound and RA channels – links coming soon.
