Schedule / MONDAY 10 OCTOBER

Tonight begins with the literal sound of bubbles, with Poland’s Pimpon sampling carbonated drinks in a playful listening exercise. Colombian artist Lucrecia Dalt presents the world premiere of a show exploring her new album ¡Ay!, a lushly orchestrated blur of Afro-Latin syncopations and metaphysical sci-fi meditations. Legendary Japanese musician Phew was a member of the 1970s post-punk band Aunt Sally, and has collaborated with the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Jim O’Rourke; her latest album, New Decade, blends English and Japanese vocals with analog synthesisers and jerky drum machine loops. EXPAT is a new project featuring performance artist and rapper Mykki Blanco and Samuel Acevedo, with theatrical poetry from the Black queer diaspora combining with the goth and heavy metal traditions of Latin America.
