Unsound Begins Series of Intermission: IRL Events in Melbourne. Other Cities to Follow.

Mono-Poly-April & Unsound Intermission IRL

The Unsound Intermission book and album is hitting the road in the form of a series of intimate IRL events, taking place where and when it is possible according to the pandemic situation.

The first event will take place on 1st April in Melbourne, presented with Liquid Architecture and their Mono-Poly series, which takes place on the 1st Thursday of every month at Collingwood Yards.

Readings will be given by book contributors SJ Norman and Machine Listening. Screenings will include videos from Steve Goodman and Kristen Gallerneaux based on their Intermission essays Audio Virology and Echomaking. Contributors to the Intermission album DeForrest Brown, Jr. and James Hoff will present HOBO UFO (vs. The New World), which was commissioned for Unsound 2020. Live music performances will come from CORIN, Xenosine and DJ Lillypad (ft Cordelia Crosbie). Food and drink will be provided by Gian Manik.

The event takes place from 6–11pm. Head to the Facebook page or Liquid Architecture website for more info and ticket links.

And keep your eyes and ears peeled for the next Unsound Intermission IRL event, which may happen at short notice.
