Negativland & SUE-C

Sued twice for copyright infringement, US pranksters Negativland have been raising a middle finger to mass culture since 1980, producing records, fine art, video, books and performances that stitch original elements into corporately owned pop scrapbooks. It's a process they dubbed "culture jamming" back in 1984, and the term still fits, taking on new relevance at a time when art and ownership is perpetually questioned. They'll be collaborating with Sue Slagle (aka SUE-C), a video and light artist who has worked with creative coding and live performance for almost two decades, developing an animation tool that allows her to produce impromptu improvised films from fabrics, watercolors, photos and drawings.
