Kara-Lis Coverdale

Kara-Lis Coverdale is a Canadian composer whose work interrogates the distinction between the human and the machine. Her beautiful and ethereal releases blur the line between acoustic and digital music in exciting ways. “480” is comprised entirely of processed voice, while “Aftertouches” explores the post-sacred world through synthethic instruments. She has recorded with Tim Hecker and LXV, and worked as an organist at St. John's Estonian Lutheran Church, where she has been known to sneak riffs from Drake’s songs into hymns.
