Silecne

October 20, 2013 | Filharmonia Krakowska

Unsound 2013's closing night takes place in Krakow's Philharmonic Hall with two major events. Opening is the world premiere of a Polish collaboration between Michal Jacaszek and the Kwartludium ensemble, born out of a fascination with nature and created from field recordings, instrumental improvisations and excerpts from Olivier Messiaen's “Catalogue d'oiseaux”, where birdsong is translated into music. Australian Oren Ambarchi presents a special version of “Knots”, the stand-out piece from his 2012 album “An Audience of One”; joining him will be the 20-piece Sinfonietta Cracovia, led by Eyvind Kang, with Joe Talia on drums.
