One of the most unique figures to emerge from the New York scene of the 1970’s, Charlemagne Palestine is a contemporary of artists such as Philip Glass, Terry Riley and Steve Reich. In conversation with Andy Battaglia, Palestine will discuss the underappreciation of overtones, Jewish sacred music, ritualistic performance, stuffed toys, boredom, his loathing of the term “minimalist” and church bells.
