Irreversible Entanglements

Irreversible Entanglements are a liberation-oriented free jazz collective. Formed in 2015 by Keir Neuringer (sax), Camae Ayewa (a.k.a. Moor Mother, poet, rapper and vocalist) and Luke Stewart (bass) to perform at a Musicians Against Police Brutality event, the band was quickly joined by Aquiles Navarro (trumpet) and Tscheser Holmes (drums), and went on record their excellent self-titled debut album. Sharing an incredible chemistry, Irreversible Entanglements explore the poetic narractions of black trauma, survival and power through a fiery brand of jazz, inventive and not restrained by any abstraction.
