Although RP Boo is now widely credited as the originator of footwork, it took some time for the Chicago artist to receive his due. In recent years years, though, we’ve heard more and more of his groundbreaking sounds, thanks to brilliant albums on Planet Mu and his live appearances around the globe. Having played for the first time ever outside the U.S. at Unsound a few years ago, he now returns following the release of brand new material on his new LP I’ll Tell You What, which pushes his sound further into the avant-garde, finding new and exciting ways for footwork to grow.
