A discussion about the condition of democracy in Central and Eastern Europe in the context of the rise of populism around the world. Speakers will explore the rise of new radicalisms, ways the state and its institutions have been weakened and the ascent of protest culture. What choices and possibilities lie ahead? Moderated by Elisabeth Zerofsky from “The New Yorker”, with participants Kaja Puto - a freelance journalist writing for “Krytyka Polityczna”, and “Ha!Art”, Agata Pyzik - a journalist and writer, author of “Poor but Sexy” and Klementyna Suchanow - author of “Gombrowicz. Ja, Geniusz” and Ogólnopolski Strajk Kobiet activist.
