HHY & The Macumbas + HHY & The Kampala Unit

Hailing from Portugal, Jonathan Uliel Saldanha of HHY & The Macumbas travelled to Kampala in 2018 to work with local musicians: legendary drummer Omutaba and trumpeter Florence Lugemwa, forming The Kampala Unit. Now, the Ugandan artists will come to Europe for the first time to perform together with The Macumbas in a special show exploring the darkest corners of heavily percussive and ritualistic jazz and dub music.
