Artist Talk: The Caretaker, Ivan Seal & Weirdcore

To commemorate The Caretaker’s first performance in many years, this talk explores the vision behind the musical project and its unique relationship to visual artists. The Caretaker’s music delves into matters of time and the slippage of memory - interests shared with Ivan Seal, a painter who has designed numerous Caretaker record covers over the years and also staged related gallery shows. Weirdcore is a video artist who has created the visuals for The Caretaker’s new show. They will discuss their work, both together and alone, with ARTnews deputy editor Andy Battaglia.
