Nozinja is the originator of shangaan electro, a fast-paced African dance music genre that takes inspiration from both traditional folk music and the contemporary house scene in South Africa. He first became known as a producer with the release of the groundbreaking "Shangaan Electro" compilation on Honest Jon's. By championing other artists and touring extensively with his colourful and fun show, he has became well known to European audiences as the genre's definitive artist. After a series of Jiaolong singles and a collaboration with Tessela, Nozinja finally released his debut album "Nozinja Lodge" on Warp, a truly original work - and we don’t say that lightly!
