Marfox is a Portuguese producer with São Toméan roots, deeply involved in a rich Lisbon music scene inspired by African rhythm traditions, such as Angolan batida kuduro. His recent EP “Subliminal” was released on Enchufada, Buraka Som Sistema’s label. He is also associated with Príncipe Discos, a label devoted to dance music coming out of the suburbs and projects of Lisbon, pursuing sounds with their own set of poetics and cultural identity.
