Known for her extravagant and frenetic shows, Mykki Blanco is a gender-bending rapper, performer and poet working with some of the most innovative electronic producers in rap, including Gobby, Brenmar and Matrixxman. She takes inspiration from varied figures including Lil’ Kim, Anaïs Nin and the drag performance artist Vaginal Davis. After a couple of extremely well-received mixtapes combining strains of club music with hip hop, Mykki is releasing her debut album next year.
