Pearson Sound

David Kennedy has created music as Ramadanman and Maurice Donovan, but it’s the Pearson Sound moniker for which he has become best known, with a streak of brilliant singles and EPs for labels such as Hessle Audio, Night Slugs as well as self-releases. He has displayed a drive to push and even remake his sound that has made him one of the most interesting points in the UK’s ever-shifting bass music scene. This year Pearson Sound dropped the acclaimed EP “REM”, which saw him abandon a fascination with drum machine patterns to take a stark, experimental approach to his music that veers away from the dance floor and club conventions, into reflective mode.
