Paszka

There's something about Paszka's music that feels simultaneously rooted on our earth and a few million light years away from it. It's what the Polish artist calls "cyberbiology", and it's an element that's characterized his work since his 2018 debut "rytmy, cykle, i czas," a sandblasted set of mutated rhythmic noise and corrupted ambience that falls somewhere between Pan Sonic and Arca. Most recently, Paszka has released the album "Gluon" on Holly Waxwing's Noumenal Loom label, dipping further into pop abstraction with bio-electrical compositions that abstract soaring vocals around pliable assemblages of crunch-fried digital dirt and rubberized beats. Paszka is also one half of psychedelic rhythmic noise project MUKA, alongside Katarzyna Kowalczyk, aka Kacha.
