Description
In 2024, there are many reasons to scream. This conceptual artist talk between writer and researcher Günseli Yalcinkaya, and musicians bela, Dis Fig and Ka Baird will attempt to trace the history of extreme use of the voice – in electronic music and beyond, exploring the power of screaming and crying out as a disruptive force and a tool for resistance in a time of mass unrest. What lessons can we take from the post-apocalyptic currents of metal and noise to help us navigate today’s sonic chaos, dismantle prevailing Western narratives and cut through the overwhelming cacophony?
