ONLY WITH ALLIES: NON-HUMANS IN THE PALESTINIAN STRUGGLE

Palestinian artist Bint Mbareh offers a storytelling and music event investigating roles for non-human actors in the genocide. A rainstorm overtakes Gaza in the same hour that Israel closes pipes turning off the water supply. The sea roars in disapproval of the pier for humanitarian aid. Homemade weapons become extensions to people's fight for their basic rights and freedoms, and the sun becomes a friend in the fight against energy scarcity in the strip. Other actors—ghouls and jinn and spirits haunting the springs that flow through Gaza—are all part of the story as well.
