MCZO & Duke

Duke is one of the key artists from Tanzania’s singeli scene and an ambassador of this new and fascinating genre brewing in the streets of Dar Es Salaam. Presenting his own take on the incredibly fast sound, Duke is focusing on raw, intoxicating sounds, packing his tracks full of intense, repetitive rhythms that don’t sound like anything else. This year saw the release of his debut album Uingizaji Hewa on Nyege Nyege Tapes, which features MCZO - one of the best rappers in Dar Es Salaam - who will perform together with the producer. The two were meant to appear at Unsound 2018, but due to a spelling mistake in a passport the tour had to be cancelled. We’re very happy to be able to finally present them in Kraków.
