Presentation: Vernacular Lived Cultures
Nathalie Olah is the author of the new book Steal as Much as You Can: How to Win the Culture Wars in an Age of Austerity. A small, rich elite wields disproportionate control over our political and financial systems, but what influence do they have on our cultural climate? Olah discusses how to build a culture more representative of the majority, by rejecting the hegemonic influence of the media and embracing the grassroots, DIY alternatives that exist all around us.
The event is part of the INTER:FACE project commissioned by the Municipality of Kraków and Kraków Festival Office.
