Brett Solomon

Brett Solomon is the author of Digital Ceasefire, a forthcoming book on the digitalisation of warfare and the pursuit of digital peace, to be published by Cambridge University Press in early 2027. He is a non-resident Senior Research Fellow at the Human Rights Center, UC Berkeley School of Law, where his work focuses on the intersection of human rights, technology, and conflict. Brett is the co-founder of Access Now and served as its Executive Director for 15 years, leading the organisation's efforts to defend and advance the digital rights of people at risk around the world. He has also worked with Amnesty International Australia, Oxfam Australia, and Avaaz. Brett is the founder of RightsCon, the world's leading summit on human rights in the digital age, and has delivered two TEDx talks on digital democracy and the right to peaceful protest in the digital era.
