Enigmatic rapper Jawnino has been challenging the scene's conservatism since he debuted in 2019 with 'It's Cold Out', a low-key anthem that characterized "broken Britain". Few other contemporary artists so accurately capture London's patchwork of cultures, stories and spectrum of sounds, something that's evident on his 2024 mixtape '40', a fusion of influences that's bumped up with remixes from Bok Bok, Airhead and Evilgiane. And last year, Jawnino stretched his hands across the Atlantic, collaborating with New York City's influential Surf Gang collective on the acclaimed 'Amnesia'.
