Like Liars, Death Grips and more recently Dublin's Gilla Band, confusingly-monikered Manchester-based quartet Mandy, Indiana make rock music of a sort, mangled almost beyond recognition by their intimate understanding of dance music, trap and freeform noise. One their explosive debut album 'i've seen a way', they enlisted the help of Bristol's oddball techno-dub alchemist Robin Stewart to help them formalize their sound and on 'URGH' they move even further into their own zone, bolting hyperpop to blues rock and broadcasting a full range of anxiety and raise.
