Sarah Davachi presents The Will of Tongues (KRAKÓW)

For years now, Sarah Davachi has been examining sound on an almost forensic level, both as a composer and an academic. And whether she's figuring out the complex, temperamental sonics of analog synthesizers and rare organs or composing for larger ensembles, her core obsessions with tuning, harmonic resonance and timbral space always come into play. On this year's 3LP epic 'The Will of Tongues', she sets a new standard in what Boomkat describes as "deep minimalism", referencing early music, Arvo Part's sacred minimalism and James Tenney's bewitching temporal experimentation.
