Wendy Eisenberg (WARSZAWA)
You could say that multi-instrumentalist and composer Wendy Eisenberg broke out in 2024, when they released the ambitious 'Viewfinder', an album that Boomkat described as a "jazzy avant-prog-Americana song cycle", but that's only scratching the surface. They've been active on the US circuit for years, collaborating with artists like Bill Orcutt, more eaze and John Zorn, playing in various bands and developing their personal style. And on this year's self-titled album, their most acclaimed to date, Eisenberg confidently asserts themself as an American original, paying respect to Van Dyke Parks and Gillian Welch with their baroque folk-pop compositions.
