Go as far back as you like on the drum and bass timeline and you're sure to come across dBridge, aka Darren White. Widely respected for his early solo productions and influential work with DJ Maldini as Future Forces Inc and as a member of Bad Company, White has remained at the forefront of the genre, establishing his own Exit Records imprint in 2003 and continuing to push the boundaries. At this year's Unsound Kraków, dBridge will be going back-to-back with one of the scene's contemporary leading lights, gyrofield, a Hong Kong-born DJ and producer who's also motivated by the openendedness of bass music. On the brilliant 'Suspension of Belief', released this year on Objekt's Kapsela imprint, gyrofield infuses their dancefloor-ready productions with jazzy flourishes and psychedelic AFX-inspired sound design, veering confidently into sci-fi territory.
