John Talabot b2b Kiernan Laveaux

A widely-known producer, versatile DJ and the curator of Barcelona's left-of-center Hivern Discs imprint, Catalan mainstay John Talabot has always been difficult to pin down. He's still probably best known for 2012's critically revered 'ƒIN' album, but his scope is far deeper than that; in 2017 he teamed up with Swedish producer Axel Boman to release 'The Night Land', and as a DJ he's completely unpredictable, as likely to play vintage acid or deep psychedelic sounds as he is to dig out a balearic house belter or something from the bass continuum.

At this year's Unsound Kraków, Talabot will be sharing the fader with US-based selector Kiernan Laveaux, a notoriously eclectic and highly technical DJ who cut her teeth spinning at underground parties around Cleveland and the wider Midwest. Creative and always playful, Laveaux  is a true original, a keen listener who channeled her early love of new wave and electro pop into a lifelong mission to seek out the wonkiest, heaviest sounds.
