Produced between 2007 and 2012, contemporary artist and filmmaker Matthew Barney's 'River of Fundament' was released in 2014 and has rarely been screened since its initial limited theatrical run. It's an ambitious 330 minute epic that interprets Norman Mailer's 'Ancient Evenings' as a pseudo-biography, tracing the writer's life through three reincarnations where he's played by Lakota actor David Bald Eagle, free jazz legend Milford Graves and playwright John Buffalo Mailer, Mailer's youngest son. Also featuring appearances from Paul Giamatti, Debbie Harry, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Joan La Barbara, the film is scored by experimental composer Jonathan Bepler who will layer the film live, accompanied by Poznań-based improvisor Adam Golebiewski, who's performed and recorded with Yoko Ono, Mats Gustafsson, Kevin Drumm, Thurston Moore and many others.
