Tahmina Rajabova
Tahmina Rajabova was born in Tajikistan and graduated in pedagogy in Dushanbe. She has taken part in numerous international projects and training programmes on early childhood education, supporting bilingual children and children’s rights, in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, the USA and Lithuania.
Rajabova has lived in Poland for the past 11 years. She completed the Cultural Mentors Academy and the Janusz Korczak International Summer School. For many years she has been active in supporting migrants and refugees as well as in early childhood education – first at the A.J. Komeński Children’s Development Foundation, and since 2019 at the Ocalenie Foundation, where she worked as a cultural mentor at the Warsaw Help Centre for Foreigners.
In this role she supported families and individuals with migration or refugee experience in adapting to life in Poland. She acted as a “first line of support” for those facing hardship or material difficulties, struggling with schools and preschools, needing help enrolling their children in educational institutions, or dealing with administrative matters.
Between 2022 and 2024 Rajabova managed the School Support Programme at the Ocalenie Foundation. The programme aimed to provide comprehensive support of children with migration experience, their parents, and teachers. It focused on assisting teaching staff in their daily work with migrant pupils, encouraging parents to participate in school life, and helping them to build relationships with schools. Rajabova also ran workshops and training sessions on multiculturalism for both children and teaching staff.
From September 2024 to March 2025, she managed the Mentoring Team at the Ocalenie Foundation’s Help Centre for Foreigners. Since March 2025 she has held the position of Director of Integration Programmes and serves as a member of the Ocalenie Foundation board.
