YHWH Nailgun

Fans of Still House Plants, Battles or Lightning Bolt take note, NYC-based experimental rock quartet YHWH Nailgun might just be your new favorite band. Vocalist Zack Borzone, synth player Jack Tobias, drummer Sam Pickard and guitarist Saguiv Rosenstock joined forces just a few short years ago, immediately piquing local interest with their energetic splatter of math rock, noise and surrealist prog. But they came into their own earlier this year with the AD 93-released '45 Pounds', a 10-track, 20-minute thrill ride packed with dizzying stop-start rhythms, jerky post-punk riffs and carnivalesque, tongue-in-cheek synths.
