Description
In an age of seemingly inescapable precarity, the pressure to act is high—but so are the exhaustion and burnout that shadow activism and even bare existence. From economic uncertainty and social injustice to the rise of the far right, centrist complacency, and the live-streamed atrocities of daily life, how can we cultivate joy amid horror and disillusionment? In this conversation, moderated by Marta Rawłuszko, historian Hannah Proctor and sociologist Akwugo Emejulu will navigate the turbulent waters of political emotions and ambivalence, reflecting on past and present forms of resistance, the challenges and limits of solidarity, and the value of uneasiness.
