MORNING GLORY 1

Unsound 2025 starts with a free Morning Glory session by Krakow-based pianist Martyna Zakrzewska and Indonesian composer and instrument builder J. “Mo’ong” Santoso Pribadi, who you might know as one half of Raja Kirik. Their premiere performance Transmutation Sound is based around a unique organ-like instrument built from discarded materials: an old accordion found at the Švenčionėliai railway depot in Lithuania, hoses, a tyre and a footpump. Reacting to shifts in temperature and pressure, the instrument evolves as it’s played, adding another dimension to the duo’s improvisation.
