MORNING GLORY 3

A soft awakening awaits at the second Morning Glory event with Japanese bamboo flute (shinboue) maestro Rai Tateishi. Best known for his tenure in Osaka-based experimental band goat (jp), Tateishi attempted to transcend the limits of ancient instruments on his debut album Presence that emerged earlier this year. Live, he matches his shinboue playing with freeform blasts of shakuhachi, khene mouth organ and Irish flute, and will be assisted by KAKUHAN/goat (jp) linchpin Koshiro Hino, who will process the sound live. This event is free – first come, first seated.
