Unsound Day 5: Saturday 11 October

We kick off the weekend with the Independent Record Label Fair at Betel Klub, where some of Poland’s most interesting independent labels showcase their latest releases and hidden gems. The fair runs from 11:00 to 16:00 — the perfect place to start the day and discover new sounds.
At 12:00, we head back to Puro Kazimierz for the second Ambient Brunch. This time, Whatever The Weather — the ambient alter ego of Loraine James — will set the tone with a soothing DJ set.
At 13:30, over at Hevre, Julek Ploski and Kat Zavada unveil Omega Secret Society, described as a speculative, semi-live, hyper-paranoid mockumentary event. Expect something strange, shifting, and slightly conspiratorial.
For the second Afternoon Glory, we return to Kopernika 15 at 15:00, featuring Bhutanese guitarist Tashi Dorji, whose improvisational style bridges raw experimentation and quiet intensity. This concert requires a separate ticket and isn’t included in the Long Weekend or Festival Pass – unfortunately it’s sold out.
At 16:00, James Hoff and Ben Kudler present Radical Democracy — an audiovisual performance that hacks into live security cameras around the world, using GPS data to shape the music in real time. Immediately after, Andy Battaglia will lead a short artist talk with the duo.
Then we’re back at Teatr Łaźnia Nowa at 18:30, where Jim O’Rourke and Eiko Ishibashi perform a full live set drawn from their new Drag City album Pareidolia. They’re followed by caroline, the eight-piece ensemble blending post-rock and experimental folk into something both intricate and emotional, as captured on their sophomore release caroline 2. The evening at Łaźnia Nowa closes with New York rapper billy woods, joined by DJ Haram. There are a few remaining tickets available online for this show.
From 21:30, the final night unfolds at Hotel Forum. Expect debut b2b sets from Simo Cell & Nono Gigsta, and OKO DJ & Assyouti, plus the world premiere of MAGMA, a new collaboration between Piernikowski and Jacek Sienkiewicz. Live shows come from A Guy Called Gerald — celebrating 30 years of Black Secret Technology — The Bug & Warrior Queen, Nazar, DJ Haram, Tracey, and Tymek Papior, with DJ sets by Kia, KAVARI, and Bambi Uzi. Indonesian duo KUNTARI will stage an intervention in The Ballroom, while The Secret Lodge hosts Olga Anna Markowska, Natan Kryszk, and Mohammad Adam, alongside a DJ set from 1729 (fka Iryoku). There are a limited number of tickets left online for this event.
And for those who still aren’t ready to call it a night at 6:30, the afterhours continue at PLAYHAUS, with DJs naked relaxing, Charlie, Janusz Jurga, KinkyOutsider and Pacura xx guiding you into the morning and early afternoon.
