Chicago-based L.I.E.S. affiliate Marquis Cooper takes inspiration from his city’s rich musical culture, acknowledging its classic sound but always pushing forward, driven to innovate. He learned DJing on his father’s disco singles, but his productions are all about “the grit”, created from the rawest house sounds.
