Apart from Dva Damas, who release their gothdub/western tunes on Downwards America, Unsound’s opening party groups music journalists and label owners playing DJ sets. Grzegorz Tyszkiewicz offers a set of “condensed errors” using poorly pressed (rejected) records released on his Bocian label, while Conor Thomas represents The Death of Rave (as well as Boomkat Editions). Also appearing are Unsound friends and music writers: Philip Sherburne and Andy Battaglia b2b with Todd Burns aka ABBT. Oh, and Gosia Płysa - one of the directors of Unsound - opens as Creepy Marionette, exploring this year’s line-up whilst sneaking in long-forgotten cheesy tracks, along with Wendy Catkins aka Katarzyna the infamous vodka jelly manufacturess.
